Autogas Day

Held annually during Liquid Gas Week, Autogas Day provides a global platform to celebrate the advantages of Autogas for on-road applications and to discuss the most recent developments from policy trends, to market success stories, to innovation. It is also an opportunity for the global Liquid Gas industry to get involved through local activities to raise awareness of the value of Autogas.

About Autogas

Liquid Gas, including LPG, propane, and butane, is the world’s 3rd most widely used transport fuel and the most accessible alternative transport fuel. LPG emits almost negligible particulates, less CO2, and fewer emissions including NOx. Driving an LPG vehicle is safe, easy and is typically cheaper than driving a petrol or diesel model. Over 28 million vehicles globally run on Autogas, consuming over 25 million tonnes of LPG a year.

The case for Autogas as a clean, modern, transport fuel becomes even stronger with LPG being sourced from renewables.

The Turkish LPG Market

Turkïye consumes over 4.5 million metric tonnes (m mt) of LPG a year. Most of it (3.5m mt) is consumed in the transport sector making Turkïye one of the largest Autogas markets in the world with over 4.8m vehicles running on LPG.

Autogas Day 2026 will again take place during Liquid Gas Week… and this year again, Autogas Day 2026 will be integrated in events throughout the week where the value and opportunity that Autogas delivers for the industry will be highlighted.
