The theme of this year’s event ‘Resilience in a Changing World’ showcases the Liquid Gas sector’s unwavering strength, adaptability, and spirit of innovation in the face of global uncertainty. As energy policies shift, markets evolve, and climate challenges intensify, this theme underscores the industry’s exceptional ability to navigate disruption, seize opportunity, and consistently deliver reliable, low-carbon energy to communities across the globe.

Turkïye consumes over 4.5 million metric tonnes (m mt) of LPG a year. Most of it (3.5m mt) is consumed in the transport sector making Turkïye one of the largest Autogas markets in the world with over 4.8m vehicles running on LPG. The country’s refineries produce over 1m mt of LPG a year with the remainder being imported. The country boasts a per capita consumption of nearly 10kg/year.
Turkïye is located at the crossroads of Southeastern Europe and Southwestern Asia.
The country has an industrialising economy that maintains a large agricultural base. Istanbul, the largest city in Turkïye, is the link between Europe and Asia. It is the country’s economic, cultural and historic capital with a population of over 15 million residents.
The historic centre of Istanbul is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the city hosts the headquarters of numerous Turkish companies, accounting for more than thirty percent of the country’s economy.
