Global Science Conference (GSC) Awards

The World Liquid Gas Association Global Science Conference (GSC) Award recognised the most outstanding scientific contribution selected from the papers presented during our annual event.

In addition to the main award, we also honour contributions of early-stage researcher, with eligibility extending to those under the age of 35 on the day of the conference.

The Marketing Excellence Award celebrates an individual or team from a WLGA member organisation who has demonstrated exceptional creativity, innovation, and impact in their marketing efforts. Whether through a high-impact campaign, brand transformation, or strategic communication initiative, the award honours those who drive visibility and engagement across the LPG value chain.

The award is open to individuals or teams within WLGA member companies, and eligible campaigns or initiatives must have been active within the past 12 months.

Marketing Excellence Award 2025

Congratulations again to Laugfs (Sri Lanka) who won the inaugural WLGA Marketing Excellence Award for their inspiring Gas Kids / Project Life initiative.

Safety Leadership Awards

The WLGA Safety Leadership Awards recognises WLGA member companies or organisations that demonstrates exceptional leadership and a strong commitment to enhancing the safety culture within the Liquid Gas industry.

There will be two awards. One for companies or organisations that operate only within one country, and one for companies or organisations that operate across more than one country.

Each award recognises leadership in integrating safety into organisational culture, achieving measurable outcomes through safety initiatives, innovating safety practices, and/or delivering impactful safety communication campaigns. This is the criteria for the Awards.

The Safety Award will be formally presented at the annual Liquid Gas Week Gala Dinner and will honour outstanding commitment to safety demonstrated either by an individual or a company.

World LPG Challenge Award

Each year, finalists of the World LPG Challenge competition are extended a special invitation to participate in the Liquid Gas Week event, where they have the exclusive opportunity to showcase their solutions on the main stage and compete for the highly coveted World LPG Challenge award.

As part of their participation, finalists receive a complimentary pass granting access to all event activities. Additionally, they are allocated a popup booth in the main exhibition area, providing a platform to showcase their solution to a targeted audience of industry professionals.

Moreover, finalists have the distinct privilege of presenting their solution on the main stage, aligning with the overarching theme of the World Challenge for that year. This prime exposure allows them to garner invaluable visibility and recognition within the global LPG community.

In recognition of their achievements, finalists also have the chance to share in a substantial prize pool exceeding $10,000. And, the overall winner of the World LPG Challenge is granted a complimentary pass to the following year’s Liquid Gas Week event, providing them with continued opportunities for networking, collaboration, and professional development within the industry.

Women of the Year Awards

The Women of the Year Awards encompasses three distinct categories, each designed to celebrate remarkable achievements within the LPG industry.

1. The Woman of the Year Award: This prestigious award honours an exceptional individual who has made outstanding contributions to the sector. The recipient demonstrates exemplary leadership, a proven track record of success, and significant influence in her community. Notably, she champions diversity within the LPG industry and embodies the core values upheld by WINLPG.

2. The Young Woman of the Year Award: This award is reserved for female professionals aged 35 or younger, and recognises rising stars within the Liquid Gas Industry. Eligible candidates must possess a minimum of three years of employment and have demonstrated remarkable dedication, expertise, or character in their roles. The recipient exemplifies the values embraced by WINLPG.

3. Field/Technical Groundbreaker Award: This award celebrates women who excel in fieldwork or technical positions, overcoming unique challenges prevalent in these domains. Recipients epitomise the values of WINLPG and showcase success in environments where women are under-represented.
