Liquid Gas Week supports the Education Volunteers Foundation of Türkiye (TEGV).
The Education Volunteers Foundation of Türkiye (TEGV) was established in 1995 by a group of academics, business leaders, and professionals who believe that education is the foundation of a better future for both Türkiye and the world. The foundation was created to support the basic education provided by the state. Since its establishment, TEGV has provided free, high-quality education support to more than 3.3 million children, with the help of over 100,000 volunteers.
Today, TEGV continues to reach children through 57 activity center across 24 provinces in Türkiye.
Meet them at the Sustainability Bazaar in Istanbul!
At the Sustainability Bazaar you'll find timeless textile pieces inspired by Anatolian culture, everyday rituals and gatherings around the table, reimagined with contemporary details.
Every piece tells a story of circularity: the fabrics are woven from recycled cotton yarns, decorative elements are made from textile offcuts, and product tags and packaging use recycled paper.
Stop by, explore the collection and meet the makers behind it. Come and feel the craftsmanship for yourself.
Discover the peştemal, the traditional Turkish bath towel that's light, absorbent and made to last. Visit the stand to see and touch towels made from recycled or organic cotton, alongside handmade soaps wrapped in recycled kraft paper. You'll also see how refillable glass dispensers replace single-use plastic bottles, a simple swap with real impact.
Drop by for a closer look and pick up a piece of Turkish hammam culture to take home.
Wrap yourself in luxury without the waste. These soft, elegant cashmere wraps are produced from regenerated cashmere fibres, giving premium materials a second life.
Come and feel the quality in person, it's the perfect sustainable souvenir or gift.
No visit to Türkiye is complete without a nazar. The Evil Eye Bead is a traditional Turkish amulet, usually made of blue glass, believed to protect against the "evil eye", the negative energy caused by jealousy or envy. You'll see it worn as jewellery and displayed in homes, cars and workplaces for protection and good fortune. At the Bazaar, you'll find nazar beads, magnets and jewellery made from recycled glass.
Stop by to choose your own piece of good luck.
